That's weird, I just googled CBG and ended up back here, anyway.
Going back through old papers relating to a mortgage that I took out dated 1999, now payed up and finished with, I took out a small loan, with the purchase price of the house, for house improvements. I have a letter confirming a mortgage care policy for the home improvement loan from ST. ANDREWS group. Who it would seem were part of the CAPITAL BANK GROUP they were, apparently, part of THE BANK OF SCOTLAND. Although I have no record of premiums or that I ever paid any.
I don't know if I really want to pursue this, although I might just see what the RBS website turns up, it's an absolute minefield and I really don't want to throw it the sharks. It's the not knowing isn't it.
I just checked the RBS site and could find no mention of the above.

What have RBS got to do with it?
St Andrews is Halifax.0 -
Halifax? I just checked their site and neither St.Andrews or CBG are on their list.
Also, I have a problem with claiming "mis-sold", we, my wife and I were both very "insurance-orientated" back then, we would probably jumped at the offer of a ppi.
Well thanks anyway SonOf.0 -

St Andrews is part of LBG and were originally owned by Halifax before the LB merger. St Andrews were the insurer on Halifax general insurance policies.0 -
