Employer car park parcking charge

If someone had been parking in their office car park for 6 months with no issue and then suddenly got a fine claiming they had the wrong permit (permit was displayed as advised), would they have a case to appeal? Said person already responded to the charge and got a response to say the parking company concluded that the ticket was correctly issued but offered a reduction in the fee or advised to dispute it via POPLA.
I have tried to look for similar examples but can't find them, hence the new thread.

It is not a fine.
An appeal to PoPLA is worthwhile if there are good enough reasons.
Not the landowner, inadequate signage, no standing to issue charges, non PoFA compliant NTK (assuming the driver hasn't been identified) to name but a few.
What happened when the motorist complained to their employer and union rep?
The driver and keeper should also complain to their MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

They didnt complain to the employer, they asked the team who told them how to display their permit who took no responsibility and said contact the parking company. The employer rents the space from the landlord who implemented these parking rules about 2 years ago. Everyone seems a bit scared of the whole thing and of the view 'just pay it or they will take you to court'.
I assume parking for 6 months before getting a fine to say the permit was incorrectly displayed is not sufficient reason to appeal? Proof of permit and photos of the way it was displayed has been provided.0 -
Which parking company? Important bit of missing information! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Do you have a POPLA code? If so, please go to the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3 which provides detailed guidance on how to construct a winning POPLA appeal.
Also do a forum search on keywords 'UKPC POPLA' and read recent posts where successful UKPC POPLA appeals have been reported. Learn from those, plagiarise relevant parts, let us see your draft for critique and fine tuning before submission, don't miss your POPLA deadline.
HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:
Hit your 'Back' button to get back to the forum thread list. On the bar just above the threads you'll see the 'Search' function. UKPC are fraudsters, read this and bring it tto the attention of your employer.

Ask them why they are allowing a scammer to defraud their employees. Also complain to your MP.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Same advice as this one, to up the ante of the employer getting it cancelled:

Except that you said:
I assume they said pay £15? So why not search UKPC £15 and read all the other threads the same, and just pay that to make it go away.Said person already responded to the charge and got a response to say the parking company concluded that the ticket was correctly issued but offered a reduction in the fee or advised to dispute it via POPLA.
This has been covered loads of times, it's all about searching for the right keywords.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
