item posted after INR case opened

I bought something for an occasion (as a present) and it hasn't shown up by the "estimated delivery" date. A few days later it was too late for the occasion as well. So I opened "item not received" case asking for a refund. A couple of days later the seller posted the item which has now arrived to Argos, and I haven't collected it yet as I have no use for it.
Do I have a chance to get a refund? If so, how do I proceed?

Give ebay a ring, if you just ignore it the seller may show tracking to argos and say you need to pick it up.
Ignoring it may take a while for argos to return it to the seller. Best to ring them.
I once had a seller post the items after i had received the refund. It was xmas time so i did not open the case for a couple of weeks giving them time and still no goods. Then i get a refund and soon after they posted it in a flimsy bin liner.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
