Student finance repayment when working in Scotland.

I hope this is the right place to post.

I currently live in England and am going to university in Scotland in September. My question is this: At what level of income will I start repaying if I remain in Scotland to work?

It's extremely unclear online and when talking to Student Finance England, who provide the loan, they didn't seem to have a clue or even understand why it would matter. They eventually said 25k but they seemed very unsure. Thanks.

Also, second question, is income calculated after pension contribution or after for the purpose of repayment? Is there any articles/threads on reducing student loan repayments?
