Kitchen Tap recommendations

Just wondered if anyone can recommend a good quality monobloc kitchen tap.
We currently have a Howdens Lamona Hi-Tech tap which was fitted when we replaced our kitchen some years ago. Since it was fitted we have had to replace the valve in the hot side and also the spout diffuser and now the cold side is constantly dripping.
We can't decide whether to bite the bullet and just replace with a new tap, or blow another £20 on a replacement valve and wait to see which bit goes wrong next.:(
Not at all impressed with this:mad:

I went for the Grohe Minta and it's an excellent tap. Have it in both properties and never gone wrong. I went for the more expensive SuperSteel version but can get the standard polished finish for £141:

We had a Franke tap with our new kitchen 15 months ago. Cost £120 and still looks and performs like new......0

Lamona is Howdens' "own brand"; they're designed to be cheap, but they don't last long.
If you're looking for quality; Perrin & Rowe, Grohe and Franke are all solid makes.
If you're looking for something a bit cheaper but still decent, there's Carron Phoenix.0 -
I've a Franke Pro top lever, installed over 8 years and still looks and works perfectly.0

Thank you all for the recommendations, will have a good look around at those makes.
I stupidly assumed that Howdens would include a decent tap with the whole kitchen package, but obviously not.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Bristan Easifit. These have a separate base, making it very easy to change the tap part. This is on the assumption the taps are bound to go wrong eventually, so easy replacement is a real time and money saver. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
