Hi. Recent changes in law. Forced me to open a new bank account. My bank in Poland cancel my contract.
So I need to open a new bank account in UK with PLN currency. I get money transfer in PLN and I have spending in PLN. I also need pay taxes in Poland while being in UK. So have an account is must.
Unfortunately I cannot find any bank which has such an offer.
All I found so far. It's exchange currency. But I need fully operational PLN in UK. Would be perfect if I can have both GBP account and PLN account in one bank.
Thanks for help in advance Zardrian

Have a look at Revolut and TransferWise Borderless.Evolution, not revolution0

[strike]Barclays have a PLN account. Possibly not as favourable exchange rates and transfer fees as some other options, but it gives you the option of having a physical branch. You'll have to qualify for, and open, a Sterling current account with them first. [/strike]

But if its a physical PLN account along with second gbp. Exchange rate shouldn't apply. I have polish bank account for lots of different currencies. Money get in and out without any exchange rate. I just pay in gbp and they stay gbp.0

I checked HSBC,Halifax, Barclays, First Trust, Ulster Bank, Nationwide. None of them offer a Polish account currency. It looks like none of banks in UK run Polish currency0

The link you provide suggests that Barclays only offers such foreign currency accounts to business customers, not to personal customers:Flobberchops wrote: »Barclays have a PLN account.

Can't you just open a new PLN bank account in Poland?
Short of that, one more voice for Transferwise and Revolut0 -

Oops. Yes, that's correct. Personal customers have a choice of twelve different foreign currency accounts but that doesn't include PLN.

I can open a new one in Poland. But firstly I would need to go to Poland just to open it. Secondly and most importantly. It's government. We expect a lot of trouble in near future in Poland banking. That's why they are so persistent to get those information.
I spoke with stuff yesterday. They told me to pass all information and they will not close. Even tho in Thier terms it says they will. Some of Thier staff day they will some not. And Some Polish reported they account been closed.
Law is unclear and banks and Thier stuff are left to Thier subjective opinions.
I think there is no physical bank who offer polish currency in UK. I know there are some online only banks. But I don't think I can get any morgage of them. And credit score doesn't add up from those accounts. Or I'm wrong?0 -
Who you keep your Zloty with, to facilitate payments back in Poland has nothing to do with who you take mortgage from. Doesn't have to be the same bank, nor are you only limited to using 1 bank for your current accounts, keep your Sterling accounts with whichever bank you like.0
