PIP and work

Hoping for some help and advice. Apologies this is a slightly long post.
For a number of years I was off on the sick due to significant mental health issues. I received ESA support group and PIP daily living only element.
Earlier this year I returned to work on a part time basis. I was hoping the DWP would let me to do permitted work but as soon as they mentioned this I was told I was going to be reassessed.
As I couldn’t cope going through the whole assessment thing again I decided just to try and work 30 hours and came off the ESA. I was advised PIP would continue as you are allowed to worn whilst receiving this.
I returned to work in retail and despite having an understanding manger I struggled and couldn’t cope. I was lucky to manage to find an office job where I am able to work flexible and from home when my mental health is bad.
I am still on medication and receive ongoing support from my local primary mental health team. I have also been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum since I have been in my office job.
My PIP claim is due to end next year and I have been advised that I will be reassessed anytime from now onwards. My question is should I reapply as a Mind think I should be entitled to this. As I mention above I was treated quite badly by the DWP and I don’t feel strong enough to go through that again. I still struggle on a daily basis with my mental health and there have been many occasions where I have just wanted to quit and go back on the sick but I feel this would be a massive step backwards for me.
Any help and advice would really be appreciated.
