UC formula for earnings

Does anyone know how to work this out:

Every £1.00 you earn in take-home pay reduces your Universal Credit by 63 pence

For argument sake you get a temp job for a few weeks and the take home pay is say £600.00

How do you work out the 0.63ps to be deducted?

I knew I should of paid attention to johnny and hes 5 apples at school!

    You are £600 x 63/100 = £378

Note that if you have children included in your claim or have Limited Capability for Work you will have a Work Allowance which means that some of your income is ignored when working out the applicable deduction.

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Nope, no kids here! I went for the save the world option of not breeding...

Thank you, I wished they would put the formula on the website instead of defining take home pay... they think we are idiots!
