As we finally get to the closing stages of the PPI debacle, there are still many posts made here from people who still fail to grasp that simply having an insurance policy is not in itself cause for complaint.
Remember that the majority of posts to the forum are from people who are experiencing problems using what is (and always has been) a simple complaint process. This results in a lot of negative responses from the regulars here.
In my own case, I recovered £20,000 in mis-sold PPI back in 2012 and have since used my experience to help many many deserving others to reclaim theirs. However, those seven years have seen me become more and more sceptical of some of the potential complainants who have posted here....0 -

Hi All
Just wanted to let you know that I received a cheque from MBNA today for £5089 not sure if this was due to the escalation to FOS or MBNA doing the right thing, not much info in the letter attached from MBNA except "Please find attached cheque for £5089.24 as detailed in our letter dated 5th August 2019" another letter I didn't receive from MBNA!
Just goes to show persistance pays off! Thank you all for your variying helpful advice.:j0
