CPM Car Park Charge

Hi we paid to park at car park whilst on holiday. I watched my husband purchase the ticket with cash and he to put in the registration.
We do not have the ticket any longer and have since received a parking charge from CPM UK Car Park Management with picture of car entering and leaving the car park saying we had parked for 56 mins - so want £100 - and didn't pay for it.
All I can think of is that my husband put in an incorrect digit re registration. So if he did they have a similar registration at the same date and time and no picture of that car entering their car park.
I was thinking of appealing and asking them to check their database as they obviously have a registration similar paying for parking at same time but not sure if they would bother checking this.
Do we stand a chance in appealing for this or should he just pay it and make sure he's wearing his glasses next time!

Initial appeal is to use the one written in BLUE text in the NEWBIE sticky post # 1. If you want to submit a SAR at the same time to the DPO @ CPM, you can ask for all data referring to you (see post # 2 in NEWBIE) to include your registration and near misses around the same time of your parking issue.0

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

OK so the IPC told their members NOT to pursue minor keying errors.
So the keeper must send a SAR to the parking firm asking for disclosure of his payment and the VRN input by him, which appears to be a minor keying error (use that term) and not a matter the IPC would (allegedly) uphold.
No chance at 'appeal' as it is a farce and they will reject it, but that's not the stage where these scams are beaten. If you actually thought appeals are won, then you haven't read enough UKCPM threads to see what really happens - and read the NEWBIES thread, too.Do we stand a chance in appealing
We have a 99% win rate v UKCPM, but it isn't at appeal stage, LOL!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
