eBay package never received. Now what?

Recently ordered a cheap electronic notebook from eBay. Package never arrives. Checked with sender, they say to check with delivery service. Checked with Hermes, they have a picture of a package at my doorstep on their online tracking service. But nowt here though.

Go back to sender who tells me to file a claim with the delivery company. Go to the delivery company, they say this can only be done by the sender, not the recipient. Go back to the sender who says it's now between me, eBay and the delivery company. Have to wait another week to get eBay involved. What's my chances? It was only £50 but feeling miffed.

This is best asked on the eBay board, but in short it's the sender's problem, not yours. Open an eBay case for item not received, you will have a fight on your hands though as the seller has proof of delivery.

Apologies, I shall post there. Thank you.

I'm surprised Hermes gave out information to you. They should only deal with the sender.

The sender is wrong, it's up to them to take it up with Hermes.
I've never seen either of my usual Hermes delivery ladies take a picture.

You get an automatic tracking number which you can put in and tells you the delivery status.

If tracking shows as delivered you will lose an eBay and Paypal claim.

You should file one anyway, then appeal the result with your photo evidence.

    Oh well. Thanks
