Euro car parks unpaid parking charge

Apologies if this is answered elsewhere but freaking out a bit about the next steps of this

Firstly received a parking charge from euro car parks from Hamilton Vue back in April, firstly their car park has a car park across the road which is part of Hamilton Palace grounds and is the overflow car park is a 3 hour stay, driver wasn't aware of the difference at the time. The film was the avengers end game which has a running time of over 3 hours.

Followed advice on this forum as it's in Scotland to ignore the charge and had the generic follow up letters for this and still have not replied to them so they won't know who the driver is of the vehicle.

To make matters a little more complicated the vehicle is my mums car at the time of which the driver is insured , she has the car under mobility and driver was carrying out some errands in the area for her and used her vehicle to attend the cinema so the letters are getting sent to my mums address to which she is also worried given the fine is now up to £130.

We have now received a letter from debt recovery plus giving notice of intended court action so they have not actually issued on this yet but provided notice of this. the receipt for the movie is still handy so my following questions are about how to proceed going forward.

Do we continue to ignore the letters in the hope it goes away?
Do we contact the cinema in the hope they can get the charge to go away?
Do we contact either euro car parks or debt recovery plus to put my case forward along with the receipt for the movie?

Edit your post to remove any hint of who was driving

All you need to say is that the keeper was not the driver

There is no keeper liability in Scotland, so the keeper ignores the debt collectors, but keeps all the documents and paperwork for over 5 years, just in case

Meanwhile get on with your lives

It is not a fine, it is an invoice for the damage they allegedly suffered when you did what you did. Pay them not a penny unless a court order you to.t

Have you read the stickies? There is advice on how to deal with tickets in Scotland care. Certainly contact the cinema, never contact a debt collector.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Debt recovery plus have not provided notice of intended court action because they can't even do this in England let alone Scotland!

You will have one of their usual not very scary template letters threatening to recommend to their client they take court action, which is the last thing they want as they are then redundant and out of the scammers gravy train.

The charge has not gone up DRP have added on their charge just for sending letters from their office staff that were unable to find a better job.

As long as the stupid PPC don't know who the driver is carry on ignoring as you have been advised.
