Feature Wall Wallpapering Advice

I'm about to try my hand (for the first time) at wallpapering a feature wall in a bedroom and need some advice please.

The wall in question will be where the headboard is and was wondering as the centre line of the wall will be different to the centre line of the headboard should I centre the wallpaper pattern to the wall or the headboard??

What's the repeat?

If it is a pattern where you may notice it may be the wrong option

The repeat is 26.5cm.

I thought in my in my inexperienced mind I should centre the wallpaper pattern to the centre of the headboard as either side of the bed will be matching bedside chests but this will out to the centre of the wall by appropriately half a door width as the headboard is on the wall where the door opens on to.

The repeat is that small, it won't matter where you centre the wallpaper.

The repeat is irrelevant with regards to centering the paper. The repeat is vertical, centering is horizontal.

On a plain wall it could look good centered on the bed and as there is presumably only one door the lack of symmetry on the wall would go unnoticed.

I was making an educated guess that a tiny horizontal repeat would have a pretty similar vertical one.

If the bed is the permanent focal point then it isn't going to hurt to centre it on there.

Centre the wallpaper over the bed.

Also make sure you don't end up with a silly little strip to hang at either corner.

There will be a horizontal repeat and that is what will get noticed.

Depending on pattern getting the headboard line looking good may be worth considering.

You may also want to consider where the joins will be and as pointed out the edges of the walls so you don't get small pieces.

Watch out for the walls not being true.

Thank you for all the replies and are very much appreciated.

The question was asked what the pattern repeat was and I stated 26.5cm but this what's on the wallpaper information as it's half drop. The actual pattern repeat is 53cm if this will make a difference to the answers?
