Complaint to mortgage advisor

  • I got cc'd in the original email once the application was submitted so knew exact date when it was done. Going back to the emails between me and him it was exactly 2 weeks from 'we need to apply for this' till it was submitted. It takes them 5 days to process the application. Our completion date was nothing out the ordinary I think, 6 weeks after an offer.

Thanks everyone for responses, appreciate it

Can I just ask why you were homeless though. if the atp had not been granted why did you hand in your notice on your rental?

6 weeks from offer is extremely tight.

    When did you exchange?

Good lesson for anyone buying a house, don't hand in notice until you have exchanged AND have a completion date

There will always be a overlap, which is not bad, means less rush to move in and ability to clean place , redecorate e.t.c

Completion dates aren't set until exchange of contracts. Dates can be discussed provisonally. However the timelime for the work to be performed in the intervening period is entirely fluid.
