Legoland - how to get there

Hi guys,
I was lucky to win tickets for 4 to Legoland with the O2 priority comps they did for a few weeks - and my boys are excited as they've always wanted to go.
Can anyone help with the best way to get there? As we are travelling from Newport, South Wales, I was thinking of maybe travelling up the night before and staying at a hotel. I know they do hotels at Legoland, but I would rather get a cheaper one and have the extra money for spends for the boys. Any advice is greatly appreciated

£88 for next Tuesday in a family room at Premier Inn Slough. Pay for parking at P.ILife is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

lots of cheap (ish) options for hotels with it being close to Heathrow AIrport, so use Heathrow as your search criteria. Some of them are good for planespotting if your kids are interested in that too.0

Travelodge or Premier Inn in Bracknell - then the 702/703 Green Line direct into Legoland.0

Not sure how you're travelling but if you have time, could be fun to head into Windsor and see some of the lions that have just been installed

Meant to add - if you go this route, don't get off the bus at the first stop in Legoland (that's the staff entrance), go to the 2nd stop at the top of the hill. If you get off too early it's a very long walk up the hill!0 -
The advertised opening time is 10am but the best tip I can give you is to arrive at 9.15am. The ride queue times are shortest before 12/1pm. So getting there early means you can be through security, through the barriers and diwn the hill ready to queue for your first ride at 10am. Then spend the afternoon watching the pirate show, doing the splash park (swim wear recommend), having a late lunch and looking around mini-land. Then do rides again as people start to leave, as you can get on rides up to 6pm.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

When are you planning to use it? Make sure that it's not the weekend so that it won't be crowded. It is always better to go on a theme park early in the morning to avoid long queue.0
