I have a debt of £472.18 which I'm paying off at £10 per month. I can afford to pay it off in 2 months but the company messed us around so much I decided they could wait for their money, the interest is frozen so it's not costing us any extra to pay small amounts. Anyway I missed a payment last month (no excuses, I just forgot :-[) They just rang me and said 'If you miss a payment you have to pay the balance in 5 days', I said 'sorry, can't'. She said 'It's our policy', I said 'well no-one sent me a copy of any policy' Then she decided the policy was to pay off the debt in 4 months, I said 'sorry, can't'. Then the policy changed to 5 months, then 6 months, then it was decided (BY ME) that I could pay £40 per month. She offered to set up a standing order, I said 'oh you didn't deal with standing orders 2 months ago when I rang you to set one up'. This was totally ignored. Anything I said which wasn't on their script (they must have one, she couldn't answer half of the questions I asked) was either ignored or she interrupted with something else >:( >:( >:(
Thank you. I feel better now ;D

This shower do the billing for a phone company, I soon dropped out as soon as I realised whom I was dealing with.Rememember. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.
If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance. And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know
when, You might need them to empty your bedpan.0 -
yes, hubby had a phone debt with them years ago, he said they were awful to deal with.52% tight0

I received a letter from them yesterday dated 6th october (same day as the phone call) saying I was in arrears and could I please make a payment to bring my account back up to date. So as that's the only thing I've had in writing, I'll throw the standing order form away (if it ever arrives ::)) and go back to £10 per month.Bulletproof0

I once had dealings with them after a mail order company failed to deliver my order but still wanted payment. Suffice it to say that had this site been available I would have done what you did and tell everyone how dreadful they are. They can't comprehend anything except "how much would you like the cheque for? ". Now I would stand up to them but I was less knowledgable then and intimidated by their letters.0

Missing a payment might not harm your credit rating but it certainly won't improve it.
