Complex meter

Hi,

I am on a complex meter with EDF and I feel very trapped. I have had my second price rise in 2 years and last time I tried to switch it became apparent that my options were extremely limited due to other companies not dealing with complex meters.

I'm worried about getting a new meter as this might also cost me a lot of money, but I would do this if I could figure out if I would actually not be paying more for economy 7.

So I have 2 questions.

1. I am a single person in a small 1 bed flat with low energy usage. I also took the storage heaters off the wall when I moved in and I never replaced them with anything as the flat is so warm, so I have no heating at all. How can I tell if I should be on complex, economy 7 or something else?

2, If I did want to switch to an economy 7 meter (to make it easier to switch to another company), what does this entail? Does this have something to do with my fuse box?

Appreciate any help on this, thanks
David

How do you heat your water? I am going to guess that this is electric and not gas. So although you have disconnected and don't use the storage heaters, economy 7 may offer you better value for you money

Contact EDF, explain your situation to them, ask them exactly which tariff are you on. Perhaps you are on economy 10, but I believe you can change to economy 7 which will make switching suppliers more easier.
