Want mortgage and have good credit score but still paying PRA Group

Options
Hi everyone

I have managed to get my credit score from very poor to very good after years of working at it and old debts 'dropping off' my credit file after 6 years.
I now want to apply for my first mortgage but am concerned about the fact that I am still paying PRA Group £15 per month who took on my debt from a Virgin credit card years ago (this is one of the old debts which dropped off after 6 years, mentioned above). My question is will this affect my chances of getting a mortgage and should I even still be paying PRA group as there is now no sign of it on my credit report after it 'fell off'?

  • You don’t have a credit score or rating - ignore it just like a lender does.

You still need to pay the debt as it counts as you acknowledging it, regardless of it being off your credit file.

You will need to declare the payment as an outgoing when you apply for a mortgage.
