Flat not appearing on gov.uk

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help me.
I move into a flat on Monday and went online to compare energy prices and could only find the house number and not the flat for my new address. It's a house that has been split into 2 flats.
I then went on the government website to check council tax and my flat did not appear on the list. It is also only listed as one house on the land registry.
I phoned the council and they have us registered for council tax.
My only worry is if the downstairs tenants end up with a form of debt at number 22 (Not real number) rather than 22 ground floor, could we be held liable as in their view we also live at 22 rather than 22 upper floor.
I've been advised to call the valuation office to double check.
Thanks for any help.

Debts are by name not by address, so that doesn't matter. It's the same position as if the previous owners/tenants had debts.
Potentially baliffs could come and knock on your door, but if so point them towards the downstairs flat, and it's a good idea to know where you've put a copy of your tenancy agreement (or deeds, not sure if you are buying or renting) in case you want to prove to them that your address is not where the person they're looking for lives.0 -
I think I would be more worried that I might be paying Council Tax on the value of the whole house.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

Thanks for the information. We are renting.
Could it affect my credit rating and my ability to get credit checked if the address is not consistent across accounts?January Wins - Signed Higgidy Cookbook, Koala

council tax band appears fine.
It's the same as most flats in the street bar 2.

As long as split/correct address is reflected in the Council for CT purposes and on the Post Office database for correspondence and you give the same details to your bank(s). There is nothing to worry about.0
