I know!! How is that possible?!
I think I’ve signed it where the witness is supposed to sign... does it matter?

Probobly not.
Does it tell you where to sign eg
"signed/executed as a Deed by:......."
and
"witnessed by......." or "in the presence of........"
If so, you could probobly cross those out and write them in the other way round by hand.
But if you are using a solicitor, ring ask him tomorrow.
If not, maybe you are not on-the-ball enough to DIY the conveyancing. What else might you have got wrong ? :eek:0 -
I’m certainly not conveyancing myself! ...could you imagine! I can’t even sign a piece of paper properly.
There is nothing written as to where I’m supposed to sign, they’ve just drawn a few asterisk. Two for the buyers and two for the witnesses.
They’ve sent me an example template but it looks completely different to the deed they’ve sent me, hence my confusion.
It’s a Halifax mortgage deed if anyone knows what they look like0 -
so next to the * where you've signed, write "Executed as a Deed by" in front of your signiture, and "in the presence of:" in front of the witness sigs0
