80cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker

Good evening all.....

Our Freestanding Smeg Cooker (SUK81MFX5) was tripping the mains all weekend. A trusted Engineer visited this afternoon, conducted some tests and advised we change both elements and the fan as these are causing the shorts.

The cooker is 11 years old and we are toying with the idea of buying a new one, only snag is....I can't find an affordable new one!

I have managed to find 2 80cm models (Milano and Olive), however both are way over budget (c. £2750). I have also managed to locate a similar model to ours in Ireland (its been discontinued this year aparently), however they are not responding to my contact attempts just yet.

Has anyone else experienced issues with locating an 80cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker?

Our only option might be to stump up expensive repairs to an old Cooker!.......or install a new kitchen!

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

hi, did you have any luck finding 80cm cookers?
I have same issue, and only other viable option seems to be some 70cm wide cookers.
