John Lewis store card and Resolver

Hi there
I’m trying to locate who ran the John Lewis store card before the partnership card. Looked on FCA website and there’s no reference save to John Lewis finance that I have already checked with (paid no PPI).
I have no records save the knowledge that I had a store card and it was during a period over 10 years ago when I had others and was stupid enough to add PPI when I didn’t need it and have been successful in getting a PPI reclaim.
Other v quick question - making a PPI reclaim via resolver before 29/8
still ”counts” as before the deadline even if the organisation is taking its time to respond, isn’t it? I’m doing a last push to double-check every organisation I might have taken out finance with and I’m logging them as complaints rather than just enquiries. I’m thinking it’s a good use of my time as I’ve already had PPI payouts from 3 organisations totalling over £8k via resolver and with advice from this forum.

You're taking your chances if you go through Resolver. Why not go direct and guarantee it getting there in time?
If you're not sure who the issuer was (probably HSBC), contact John Lewis themselves to see where you should send it, or just send your complaint to them if you took it out in store.0 -
I just find that resolver is so quick and can upload the same information and track everything online. Take your point though, thanks. I will are sure that I double check each organisation has got back to me and contact them directly next week.
John Lewis, I will try again, thank you.DFW. LBM £46,490 on 23/2/17.

It's quick as long as it has the right email addresses in the system.
When it doesn't - which is far too often for comfort - you won't know that they've sent it to the wrong place.
Play safe - send it to the correct place straight off.0 -
Zx81, does that happen often?
I’ve filed some complaints with resolver. Bit worried now ...0 -

It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. There's been a fair number of such incidents reported here.
Even though the risk is fairly low, it's not worth taking, when it can be done directly and with much greater certainty.
If you haven't heard back from lenders you've filed complaints with, call them to see if they have it. You still have time to send the complaint properly if needed.0 -

John Lewis told me they used to run the store card in house and then sold it to HSBC around 2003. They also informed me they never offered PPI on the original store card.0
