Three account cap. Best check it’s still in place

Have just spent 2.5 hours on the phone to Three trying to resolve the following issues
Took out an iPad contract with then in Dec16. Went over the 2 Gb of data without knowing so got a large bill. In March 2017 I set up a cap on the account so that there was a zero alliance if the data was exceeded ie the iPad would stop working on 3/4G if the data was exceeded. Last month we had a bill for £80 on the account. On investigating this there told me I must have rung up and taken the cap off...... I challenged this and they could find no evidence of me making that call on their system. ... Great.... I asked for a refund due to their which they offered a credit on the account only. I did not want this as I no longer need the data contract.
Please be aware that 3 may randomly take off your cap without warning - a good idea to check this especially with accounts for children - they may run up huge bill without knowledge - especially when you think you have a cap in place.
Finally got a refund sorted after talking to a mediator. And only after threatening to leave with all my 4 contracts after being a customer for 15 years. I have been assured they will do better next time with me.
