One PCN received, expecting more

Hi,
I have read the sticky before posting and I am still not sure how to proceed with this with it being more than one, so I hoping someone maybe able to help me.
We parked in a NCP car park with ANPR, my partner said you pay on exit. We, like everyone else, returned after shopping put in our number plate it said £2.50 and we paid and left.
Went into town on more occasions following this (24/06, 07/07, 10/07 & 16/07) and proceeded to do the same thing, it wasn't until going to pay on the 16/07 when I realised there's a green button you need to press to add more time :( (I'm so angry with myself!)
We have since had one PCN arrive in the post dated 29/07 and I am expecting to receive three more, I paid the correct fee for the last trip.
I fully admit we underpaid, it was 100% not intentional we both thought it just calculated the amount you had to pay when you put in your reg number. (stupid!)
Do we have anywhere to stand on this or are we going to have to just pay the £400 fines? If we pay the first one by 26/08 they reduce the fine to £60 so it may be £240 we need to pay instead.
Thanks in advance

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you
Appeal each PCN separately as advised in the newbies FAQ thread. Use appeal done for you there0 -
Ok, thank you will edit.
Was posting as I wasn't sure the sticky applied since I know we didn't pay enough to cover the parking so I didn't think we could appeal.
Thanks0 -
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
