Bulb Energy referral credit

I recently moved house and the previous owner was a customer of Bulb energy. He referred me to switch to Bulb which I did. Bulb won't honour the referral credit because the property was already supplied by them.

There is no mention of this in the T&Cs for the referral credit.

Very misleading.

Needless to say I used the MSE energy club to switch to Igloo. I got referred by a neighbour and we've both got £50 credit. Well done Igloo. Poor customer service Bulb.
