Network Q warranty, anyone?

Hello all,
My son has set his heart on a Ford Fiesta 1.0 ST-Line Ecoboost (3 dr hatchback) which was registered 31/10/2017. Current mileage 12,000 miles. He's buying the car from a Vauxhall dealership in Milton Keynes. He tried to negotiate with them to waive the Car Wow fee of £199 (admin fee?) which they refused but they said buy our Network Q warranty (extended 12 months) costing £299 then, yeah, we won't charge you the Car Wow fee. Does anyone have experience of a Network Q warranty? Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Firefly (a cautious mother)

Since he's set his heart on the car, there will be no point in advising him to walk away!
I've no experience of Network Q, but any manufacturer-backed warranty must be worth having for £100.

The Network Q warranty is ok, as are most big brand warranties, operated by main dealer franchises. Actually it was once one of the better ones, but now it is just comparable to others.

BUT... in this case, there is no need, to buy a warranty, as the car should still be covered by the balance of three years from new, Ford warranty, anyway.

Assuming it has Ford main dealer service history, caried out at correct intervals, of course, it ought to be valid. You can ask the dealer to show you the service record, without any cost to anyone and to also confirm with Ford that it hasn;t been excluded from warranty for some reason.

BUT...has your lad asked WHY it is being sold in a Vauxhall dealer, why the previous TWO owner sold it. Possibly started life as a pre registered dealer car, then a private owner, but it will still mean he is THIRD owner, on a newish car. It also looks like they have had it in stock for a while and tried it at Gt Yarmouth branch already. Might mean it;s room for negotiation on the price if he REALLY is happy to go ahead.

Do please check a bit deeper, before commiting to it. There are plenty of Fiestas out there!
