Daily insurance on someone's car in Spain

Hello. We are in Spain on an extended holiday. While out here a friendly bar owner has offered us the use of his car. I'd like to take him up on his offer but would like to sort insurance. He's quite the 'just go for it' type so I'm not sure if I asked him to do it he would actually get cover for me.
Does anyone out there know how I can get insurance? Company suggestions, etc?

You will be better off asking on an ex-pat forum as they can give more advice on Spanish insurance than we can.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

I think you'll find that in Spain, like a number of other European countries, it's the car that's covered by insurance rather than the driver.
There may be a restriction on the age of the driver though.0
