Western Union refer a friend offer not paying out

Hi all
I have taken part in the Western Union refer a friend offer as posted on here last week.

I was referred on here by someone and we received the gift card no problem.

I referred someone on here and they have been paid too.

I referred a friend who made the transfer, neither of us received the gift card so I called to find out why.

The lady didn't really understand what I was talking about.

I then emailed to try and resolve it but got no reply.

I spent 40 minutes on the phone today trying to get it sorted, but the lady didn't know about refer a friend , then told me my friend needed to make a second transfer(not part of the t&cs) and said she would escalate it.


In the meantime I referred my mum and sister . I got a gift card from my sister's referral but she didn't and neither me or my mum received anything. The 2 that haven't paid out do not show up on my rewards dashboard but show as pending on the referees.

This company are a nightmare to talk to, their staff do not know about or understand their offer , or care to try and resolve anything.

I'm posting to warn people not to expect the gift cards to arrive as expected, and to ask if anyone else is having the same problems as me ?

I hate to just give up when I know these gift cards should have been paid, but I have never dealt with a company so incompetent and frustrating in all my life !

Replying to say all gift cards magically paid out today except for 2 for people i referred.
