Anyone still have an old Nationwide Gold Credit Card?

Options
I still have one, but recently got a Halifax Clarity Card. I then noticed that the latest Nationwide select card does nil loading for anywhere worldwide, but my Nationwide Gold card loads on 1% outside Europe.

When I travel outside Europe, Halifax will be my main card and Nationwide Gold will be my backup card.

Now, I'm just wondering if it is worth trying to upgrade this to a Nationwide select so I will have two excellent worldwide cards.

I've seen this old thread (really old) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3536983/warning-to-nationwide-gold-card-holders-being-offered-upgrade-to-select-platinum-card and it warns against giving up the Gold card. In the UK I always use Amex or Capital One for the cashback, so I wouldn't be worried about warranty cover on goods (if that still even exists).

I've also looked on Nationwide's website but cannot see anything about changing cards. Would it be easy to swap the cards (like for like) and is it even worth doing? Is the Gold card still worth holding onto?
