  • Croup is very scary for parent and child. DS has had it and had steroids and I hate to think what he would have been like without them as he was awful with them. Not hospitalised though. Hugs to you and you LO, hope you got a bit of sleep. I have been toying with buying a humidifier but they aren't cheap but anytime we get another bout I wish I had done.

    Hi there, thankyou so much for ur msgs...he is a bit better but waiting on seeing what tonight brings us... also i have just rang nhs direct to ask them whether or not its ok to give tixilix as he had steroids as someone told me not to give medicine as he had steroids

    Hope it's not as bad tonight, my son used to get this quite badly and it was scary. someone gave me a facial steamer for xmas one year and this came in quite useful, only time it gets used though.

    This time next week it'll all be over - fingers crossed. x
