Maybe, but they may want more room for other family members.
Bungalows are difficult to find and expensive (due to supply vs demand).0 -

It will take us another 8 years to pay off the mortgage because we cannot pay any extra as thanks to an EU court decision my other half has been without a pay rise for 11 years but prices, council tax etc have not stopped rising! The area where we are planning to move to is much cheaper than where we are now, but as the plan is to get my other half retired, we have to be able to buy outright.
We firstly went with an agent who did overestimate the house value. We thought he might have done but a nearby house was up for a similar price with someone else so we went with it and not a single viewing. At least now we are getting viewings.0 -

8 years isn't a long time in the grand scheme of things.0 -

You would have been dissatisfied if you end up selling the property too cheaply. Starting higher and lowering the price as time passes is perfectly reasonable. Our neighbours house recently sold in under 48 hours. The two opposite quickly both went on the market. 4 months later. One has just sold after having reduced the price considerably. The other has been withdrawn from the market. Sometimes it's just down to timing.0 -

Am guessing you are young! Trust me 8 years is a very very long time at our age! :rotfl:0 -

Indeed I think timing is our biggest problem. Everyone is being super cautious. Well we have a another viewing tomorrow so fingers crossed!0 -

Fingers crossed - we have someone who wants to buy who has offered something we can accept - they have to sell their house yet though so could go belly up yet!:)0
