in Credit cards
Hi all
First time posting here so i’m sorry if it’s in the wrong place!! I’ve just looked at my Barclaycard Credit Card statements over the last few months and noticed that i’ve been charged ‘Interest on your Cash Balance’ nearly every month. However, I pay all my bills in full via Direct Debit. Surely I shouldn’t be getting charged Interest?

If you have been withdrawing cash (bad idea if you have) then interest is charged from the date of withdrawal to the payment date.0

Reading the T&Cs is generally thought a good idea for financial things (such as credit cards), preferably before you take them out. T&Cs should also be the first point of reference if something is happening that you don't understand, such as being charged interest. They are usually organised into sections, so you can easily find (for instance) when you will be charged interest and how much. This is much better than making sweeping assumptions. I suggest you have a look - you never know, you might find something else you didn't know that would be helpful to you in the future.0
