Amazon add-on items

For those who may be interested Amazon appear to have reduced the amount of products being sold as "add-on" items.
Add-on items had to be added to a basket totalling £20 or more whether you were a Prime customer or not.
They are still around but where they used to largely apply to all items, at least under £5 and several under £8 (£8.01 appeared to be the cut off!) that appears to not be the case any more.
They have increased warehouse capacity substantially this year so probably something to do with that. Also, as a seller anything that goes into add on just stops selling.
There's not been anything official about this and I doubt there will be but I thought it would be of interest to buyers and sellers.

Must admit I have added and removed some small items when the bill came to less than £20.
They are coming here anyway so should make little difference whether I spend £20 or only £17.95.

Beyond that Amazon are using add-ons a lot less. They do tend to reinstate them at busier periods, whether that will still happen remains to be seen..0
