Solarplicity/TOTO shambles

Oh please, just refer to the website
e.g.
https://totoenergy.com/solarplicity-customers#faq9
As I have said before people should not trust what Toto say.
The link referred to gives no details of any rates and is just a request for a call back.
Toto have said at least three times in welcome emails etc, they would send out alternative tariffs and so far have not done so.
I have cancelled my DD five times because the amounts claimed are not owed, and Toto are still retaining my bank details.
I have been promised a call back and am still waiting after over a week.
Overall there are a lot of puzzling features of the Toto/Solarplicity transaction. Eg
How were the transfer/remaining customers selected and was this in the best interests of Solarplicity's creditors.
Toto have taken on contracts which they acknowledge they do not currently have the information to fulfil. They say they will receive this on 1/9/19, but it would appear they have no way of ensuring this happens, as promises from Solarplicity are worthless now they are in administration.
Have Toto and Solarplicity acted in concert in relation to the highly suspicious double DDs numerous customers report?
There is an ongoing relationship between Toto and Solarplicity RAC. How did the common directors of Solarplicity RAC and the insolvent Solarplicity companies resolve any conflicts of interest this created in the contract negotiations?
The finances and risks of the transaction do not appear to make sense from Toto's point of view. Eg they are taking on an unknown value of customer credit balances which Solarplicity cannot pay them for. This makes me suspicious of the rationale for the transaction.
It will be interesting to see what the first administrators proposals say.
Just ignore Dawn Crush, not adding any value to this thread, just trying to wind people up.
You are right to be concerned and I am already in contact with the Administrator, the Energy Minister, the ICO and OFGEM.
Hiking the Tariff without proper notice then selling off the customer list where TOTO says you will pay the same as before is just a con.
Solarplicity are playing musical chairs, bait n switch and so on with their company names, the head office in CEO name, various complex charge stuctures etc, Note they have been sanctioned before in their previous companies which are still the ultimate owners of the assets but not named anything like Solarplicity. If you drill down you find they tend to rename their companies to the street or office building they are in at the time.
The administrator needs to take control of ALL companies the Directors (and their relations) are or have been named on (59 companies for one officer). Only then will they be able to confirm whether there is a fraud against HMRC. Again not their first rodeo.
The events in filing or lack of them suggest that they have been preparing for this since at least January.
As for TOTO, I did not authorise my data to be given to them, I did not authorise a switch to them, they have no acquired the company with whom I contracted, the company they "bought" from had no rights to my data.
Solarplicity have not passed on the website, they are not allowing customers access to their bills etc all because they installed a fault certificate or rather removed the old one
I actually watched it live, the IT guys first switch it to other companies then realise that they were be one of the companies the HMRC is after (list below) then they put STRATFORD PLACE then then decided not to put a name at all.
HMRC Winding up list :
CR-2019-003873 GAMMA RAY AM LIMITED
CR-2019-003874 SOLARPLICITY SUPPLY LIMITED
CR-2019-003876 SOLARPLICITY SERVICE LIMITED
CR-2019-003877 PEERGLOW ASSET LIMITED
CR-2019-003878 SOLARPLICITY ENERGY LIMITED
CR-2019-003879 SPTMY LIMITED
CR-2019-003880 SOLARPLICITY UTILITY SERVICES LIMITED
So now Solaplicity customers have no access
Now the main site has Peerglow Asset Ltd AKA
SOLARPLICITY ASSET LIMITED 21 Oct 2015 - 23 Jan 2019
AMP SOLAR (UK) LIMITED 15 Jul 2014 - 21 Oct 2015
Nothing like a few facts to rant about and there are plenty here !!
The administrators and Government including ICO and OFGEM need to get to the bottom of this debacle.0 -
Has anyone else tried to switch post-TOTO move and also had their switch cancelled? I sucessfully switched my gas after TOTO had taken over my supply but TOTO blocked my electricity move and didn't inform my new supplier (as is required) so my electricity was stuck in limbo for two weeks (partly because I wan't able to call my new supplier during that time). I spent 20mins on the phone with my new supplier getting it sorted yesterday: they didn't know what was going on either, but re-did the request so hoefully it's worked now.
I should also add that I got both 'sorry you're leaving' emails from TOTO, and I've had them both again now... Not worrying at all! :S And I'm in credit, or was with Solarplicity, who knows what's happening now?! :S0 -
The credit with Solarplicity is interesting. I am in the same situation. Had a £33 credit in June, had two payments taken (July, August) and then transfered to Toto. And got my Toto bill last week to show a credit of £8.
Which is surprisingly low. I think what happened is that in June Solarplicity hugely increased their prices and that ate up the payments and credit. And Toto were kind enough to honour those inflated prices and keep me on the same rates. As an aside, they also made it very difficult to find out what other tariffs they offered.
So I moved away and .... my new supplier has told me I have been blocked by Toto. Who said they were waiting for "my financials" from Solarplicity. As in the credit that was on my Toto bill last week. I now have been unblocked (hopefully).
Can't help but feel all of the Solarplicity -> Toto customers have been well and truely ripped off.
Possibly the last minute price increases made us more valuable to another supplier.
And very unlikely to get a bill breakdown for the last few months with Solarplicity who no longer answer the phone and whose website is down for maintenance (permanently?).
Isn't Ofgem supposed to stop this kind of thing?0 -

Surely this should be very easy to identify.
Your statements from Toto should follow on directly from the last one Solarplicity produced.
As I understood it, your tariff would remain as it was with Solarplicity (unless you were unfortunate to have just come to the end of the tariff, but then surely you would have had 49 days to have sorted an alternative out)
If you were on a variable tariff, you would still have been provided with a notice of the price change well before the Toto takeover. But I'm not aware Solarplicity had increased their variable tariff in the days before this occurred.
If the Toto statement does not give you all the details on how they arrived at the latest balance, raise a complaint in line with their complaint procedure. Similarly if you feel you have been unfairly blocked from switching by Toto.
In case you were not aware, Solarplicity ceased to trade shortly after you were switched to Toto ... but you missed the fallout from that. You were fortunate enough to have remained on the same tariff, terms & conditioons, etc as you were with solarplicity (except Toto would have removed any early exit fees if applicable)0 -
Toto never sent me the promised "welcome pack" I received an email telling me there was a bill online that I had to settle within 5 DAYS!
I called them and informed them that I had never agreed to contract with them and as they are not a supplier of last resort we have no contract.
I told them that if they wanted to send me the promised welcome pack I would CONSIDER joining them and that I needed a paper bill. The paper bill came two days later, it did not have the credit I was in with Solarplicity and the energy rates and stabdubg charges were NOT what the promised "you will be charged the same rate as you pay now".
It seems that all those one star ratings on Trustpilot and Google everywhere else were well earned.
I paid £160 on account to Solarplicity because I like to pre-pay by the quarter.
Now I have to contact OFGEM and ask them to investigate this 7500 customer con, I already got the ICO interested in investigating the illegal transfer of data.
I may end up paying more but there is no way I am lining the pockets of Solarplicity Directors by whatever payback scheme they cooked up with Toto.0 -
Companies House have uploaded the administrator's proposals for three of the Solarplicity companies now in administration. This does not include the main energy supply company which should follow in a couple of weeks.
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09415844/filing-history
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/07887237/filing-history
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09789415/filing-history
The assets are negligible and may not even cover the administrator's fees.
Solarplicity UK Holdings Limited obtained a charge over each of the companies assets and is owed £0.8m, so would be next in line if there is a few thousands pounds to distribute.
Other creditors are owed I think £1.7m, including HMRC £0.6m. They are very unlikely to see anything.0 -

Have been looking at the bill they sent me. Despite having had a new gas meter for several years and more recently swapped for a smart meter, the idiots have tried charging me for cubic feet of gas consumption. The meter (both old and new) measure gas in cubic meters, and the last bill from Solarplicity quite clearly stated "cubic meter" consumption.
So Toto Energy are fraudulently inflating the gas bill by 283%.Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0
