PPI but Broker no longer trading

My husband had PPI on a mortgage with Mortgage Express, arranged in 2002. However, as it was done through a broker they have said that they are not liable.

However, the advisor is no longer registered on the Financial Conduct Authority register. I have looked at the FSCS web page and believe that they won't be able to help as the policy was taken out in 2002.

Is this the right information or is there anything that we can do please?

You have two issues. The broker no longer exists and even if they did, it's pre regulation.

    Put this one behind you.

Mortgage brokers are not individually named on the FCA register. Only investment class advisers are.
    arranged in 2002.
key date - its before regulation of mortgage brokers. So, even if they still existed, they would not need to consider your complaint.
or is there anything that we can do please?
game over. You have no-one to complain to.
