Washing Line Spike and Fake grass
Senseicads
We have recently had an artificial lawn fitted, however one thing I forgot to ask them to do was fit a spike for a rotary washing line. I'm just really asking for tips and what not how to best go about fitting the spike for the washing line. In my eyes I am just using a Stanley knife to cut a hole and then hammering the spike through the various layers underneath the grass(the sand and gravel etc). Has anyone done this before? is this the right way? Anything to look out for or any tips?

I don't see an issue, just make sure you cut a circle as you don't want a tear to develop and I'd also make sure it's the exact size of the spike, too small and the edges will bunch up and lift, too big and it'll be unsightly.
You could always give the grass installers a ring to see what they advise.0
