Car insurance for 17 learner

My daughter is learning to drive - my car is too big for her (and expensive to insure) so I'm trying to buy a second small car but am struggling to find anywhere that will either insure her with a provisional licence, or insure me with her as additional driver for a reasonable amount of money - any suggestions????

Try http://www.quinn-direct.co.uk/ ....there's been a number of threads on here saying they are the cheapest for younger drivers.0

Many thanks for the tip off about Quinn Direct. They gave me by far the cheapest quote I've had, significantly so. For anyone else in a similar position, here's how much cheaper Quinn Direct are (fully comp).
I have had a license for 21 years, no accidents for 20 years, but I only have 3 years NCB. My ex-husband and I went down to one car and we kept his policy with me as named driver. I drove every single day yet when we divorced I found myelf with no NCB and had to start from scratch. Now my 17 year old daughter needs to be on my policy, I have only 3 years NCB and those combined circumstances meant the cheapest quote I had so far was just under £900. The others ranged from £1200 up to over £3000 (I stopped looking at them past that point!) I have just had a quote from Quinn for £563 which I think is very impressive.
After paying through the nose for the last few years to rebuild some NCB, I can now get myself insured fully comp for just over £250 so it is galling to have to pay so much more again for my daughter to be included. But thanks to MSE and the above post I think I have found a price I can just about stretch to. Until I read that, the quotes I'd had were out of the question. Many thanks.

Tesco insure my daughter. The first year when she was 17 with a provisional licence the premium was £700. 2 years later with 2 years NCD we are down to £368.0

we added our 17 yr old dd to ours at £349 with the AA-it was for a battered old corsa mind which may be the reason??
she passed firs time and after shopping round got fully comp with the prudential for £800 on an x reg clio for her-down to £600 after a yera
