Mandatory Reconsideration help

I applied for a mandatory reconsideration on the 20th February this year after they said I was fit for work (which at the time I was nowhere near ready), I had a JC appointment scheduled for me on the 26th July which I was told beforehand was an appointment were I was going to to be told to start searching for work because it was 6 months since the start of my reconsideration? Anyway, I had started a job a day or two before this appointment so my question is, is the mandatory reconsideration still active, will I recieve a back-date from Feb-July if they accept it? Slighty confused by it all, thanks.

Yes the mandatory reconsideration is still valid. Very few decision are changed at MR stage. If the decision is not changed you can goon to appeal it to a tribunal. The MR (and appeal) are about whether the decision to find you fit for work was correct at the time it was made. The fact that you have later started work does not necessarily mean that it was.

If the decision is changed by MR or appeal you will be paid any arrears that are due.
Your post doesn’t say but I infer that you are on a Universal Credit, were you receiving extra money before the decision to find you fit for work?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
