Hi
I havent done anything about PPI as I didn't think I had ever been missold it but a friend has made me do a rethink.
I took out a mortgage in 1997 with Abbey and I know I had to take out life insurance. I took it out with someone else (I can't remember who) but would not have done so if I hadn't been told I had to by my mortgage advisor (Independent)
I would be grateful if anyone could advise me if anyone did anything wrong and/or if I have a potential claim.
Many thanks

Makes sense. Most people take out life assurance and until the late 90s it was a mandatory requirement with most lenders. Life assurance is not PPI.I would be grateful if anyone could advise me if anyone did anything wrong and/or if I have a potential claim.
Nothing wrong on the mortgage front from what you say and you haven't mentioned any PPI. So, all seems fine.0 -
And brokers weren't regulated prior to 2005 so don't worry about itNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Do you not think an insurance policy to keep a roof over your nearest and dearest heads in the event of your untimely death was the right thing to do?0

It seems to only be once people realise they've been unfortunate enough not to die, that they want their life insurance premiums back.0 -
I'm trying to make sense of that
Edit: Tried, and I can't.0
