You can back up all your photos to some online/cloud service or locally on a computer.
You could save all your contacts onto the SIM, if they are not there already or they can be associated with Google or iCloud for example and then when you add that account to your phone they appear as if by magic.
Which operating system are you on and are you staying on that?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
Android phone ?
Log into Google account and it does it if you make sure you backed up.
iPhone ?
Back up to cloud account

Are you sure about this? When attempting to do this several years ago, I would invariably encounter problems with names being truncated due to restrictions in what could be saved to the SIM. Also, are there any restrictions in the number of contacts that can be saved to a SIM?oldernonethewiser wrote: »You could save all your contacts onto the SIM0 -

No, but Huawei have a similar app Phone Clone that you can install on both your old Samsung and your new Huawei, that will copy the info from the old phone to the new onemoving from Samsung to honor 10 lite will it work?

Android
Ensure Backup is enabled on the old phone will cover most things
Also ensure photos/videos have been pushed to Google Photos
WhatsApp? - Has its own Chat back up / restore facility (includes WhatsApp images too)
look in Settings, Chat Backup
Use SMS Backup & Restore for text messages etc0 -
I have Google photos on my phone, tablet, Chromebook and before that my laptop. It is synced. When ever I take a photo with phone, it automatically sends it to Google so is viewable anywhere.
Obviously I'm able to delete it from the phones memory knowing it is in the cloud. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
