in Credit cards
Hi
I just applied for MBNA platinum card online and at the end of my application they ask me to contact them over the phone.
So i rang them and they put me on hold and start checking up my details and then i been told that my bank account is over drawn.
Actually i gave them detail of main current account ( Lloyd's Tsb) where my salary is coming every month while filling up the application form and i have around 2k in that account.
Basically my other current account with abbey went over drawn last month ( as some internet company taken the money without my knowledge) and i have paid all of amount and even closed my account 2 days ago.
It should not be problem as credit file shows nothing negative but the only 67 pounds balance on abbey account ( overdrawn) which is now cleared.
Please suggest me what should i do , should i make a appeal against their decision as it really making me worry.
Thanks.

Send them a copy of your statements going back a few months, so they can see that it was only a one off taking your account overdrawn and that you settled it as soon as you were aware.0
