Digging up floor which has no foundation

So we're having floors dug up to fix subfloor and levels etc. Our previous kitchen has now been divided up into a bathroom and utility room by a solid wall, however the existing structure of this part of the house though small, has no foundation and was built over a concrete yard which a surveyor has said is sound and no need to underpin. Our dilemma at the moment is that while we are releveling the floors in the house and fixing a botched job by previous builder, our new builder is insure about touching this part of the floor given that if they dig down and breach the concrete drive it was built on it could affect the integrity of the structure which now is supporting a solid wall. Is it best to list remove previous screed level and level as best as possible. Our do we remove the solid wall, dig up entire floor and relay correctly??

If you are worried about the structure then you must consult a structural engineer.
No point making a decision yourselves and suffering for it later.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Yes we are waiting to hear when engineer can come out, hes been involved in the build a bit but has been so busy this last week and we are now in a panic as builder is due to another project soon. I guess I keep on at engineer, was hoping someone on here experienced something similar0 -
Without being on site to see the job, I don't really think that anyone could give an accurate answer.
Building a structure on top of a concrete slab without a proper foundation is always a risk, but people have done it and got away with it.
It depends on ground conditions, thickness of slab, weight of structure etc, but it's obviously more of a risk if you are digging out the floor next to the walls.0
