Help! Pcn parked car

Hi all, I read the newbies forum but couldn’t really see a clear route that we should follow. Someone and their child were parked on a public road near a tube station waiting to pick someone up.
Whilst they were parked they got snapped and had two notices through the post. It must be fairly recent that these guys have started hanging around to take pictures as they have waited there plenty of times before with no problems.
One of the notices should be overturned as they’re for the same instance.
However is there a case for appealing at all since they were in the car waiting for maybe 5-10 mins or should they just pay?!

It was on some double yellow lines and was sent by CPM
Thanks

Ps after reading the newbie thing I don’t know why it matters which group the parking company belongs to?!

Just to add - the pcn received has a pic of the car if that makes any difference? Thanks

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you in Court

    Which PPC is this?

Once you establish whether or not you are dealing with a BPA company or IPC company you know how to go about dealing with this

Read up on this again in the FAQ thread

Concentrate on the, first post there at this stage

    Your post is unclear .

Was he parked on a yellow or double yellow line on a road or on tube station land ?

If on a main road then you need to go to peppipo forum for expert advice.

Not very well it would seem!

Well it matters a lot as the advice is different, and the two organisations need different approaches.

All this is assuming you have a private parking ticket not a council one.

You need to get a grip on this. If this was a council ticket they could tow your car.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It was cpm that issued the ticket. Public road near the station.
I didn’t realise you shouldn’t put ownership on the forum too just when appealing, thanks I have edited it.

Assuming that the PPC is UKCPM, then read up in the newbies FAQ thread on the futility of appeals to IPC companies.

Hi Quentin are you saying I should not appeal and just pay ukcpm? If the person was sitting in the car and there was a sign, I guess there are no grounds for appeal?

No. Not saying that at all,!

I am pointing out to you the futility of appeals to IPC companies!

See the newbies FAQ thread as advised.

this sounds like that familiar train station sc@m that has been on here before (but you never mentioned which tube station it was)

I doubt its a public road, not if UK CPM are involved

the advice is to appeal using the blue text template for each and every pcn, then do nothing unless they try court within 6 years

nobody on here would tell you to pay a private pcn, its not our job to make that decision for another adult , Quentin never mentioned anything at all about paying

    paying sc@mmers perpetuates their "crimes"
