House Insurance - Have we been 'Flooded?'

Hi,

We live in a property that sometime ago (around 4y) was slightly flooded in the kitchen. This was due to the car park at the back of the property having a blocked drain which they did not rectify quickly. We were not in the property at the time, and have no flood concern whatsoever now.

Does this need to be declared? Most comparison sites mention 'natural' cause flooding etc which I don't think this falls under. The premiums etc go up dramatically if we say we have been flooded, but I don't think our property is a flood risk.

Thanks.

    Yes, you have been flooded.

It is always best contacting the Insurer directly to ask.

Whilst the premiums go up for declaring a flood, they go up even further if you have to declare a void policy in the future.
