Will I get charged to change tariff?
Hi all,
I’m with British Gas for both gas & electricity.
Tariffs are
- HomeEnergy secure August 2019 (Gas)
- temporary September 2019 (electricity)
I’ve had an email from British Gas saying I’m with the date range to change my Gas, but nothing yet about the electricity, as it finishes a month later.
Basically, could I change to a dual fuel tariff with British Gas now? (Looking at Energy Plus Protection Green Aug 2020v2) Or will I get charged an exit fee for changing “early” from the temp September electricity tariff?

Yes - you can change within BG at no cost.
But that might not be your best move - first check the T&C's for the Electric to see if there is an exit fee.
Put your ACTUAL consumption through comparison sites three times - once for gas, secondly for electric and third for dual fuel - and see which is best for you.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
