How long does it take to get acknowledgement of complaint?

Options
Does anyone know how long it is likely to take to get an acknowledgement of complaint. I know I have left it far too late to be starting all of this, but just started last week.

I raised complaints with Resolver for Barclaycard, Tesco Bank, and Santander
raised a complaint with Littlewoods via their own online form
raised a query with Halifax's own online form
raised a query with MBNA via their own online form
raised a query with M&S bank via their own online form

I know it was only a few days ago, but I was expecting at least an automated email acknowledgement from each, but aside from the Resolve "your case has been submitted" there has been nothing at all. I have taken screenshots of the submissions but am worried in case they just disappear into the ether.

The direct complaints should be fine, but I would resubmit the ones via Resolver direct to the lenders.

No point in gambling on a third party to forward on your complaint at this stage.

Yeah, that sounds sensible. I started off on Resolver before I found out that it was easy to do direct (going through FSA website).

I was worried it might cause confusion if they were seen as duplicates, but I guess at this point better confusion that a missed claim.

Resolver has been know to use incorrect email addresses when submitting complaints so would definitely go direct... in terms of acknowledgements usually firms have around 3 working days to acknowledge

I applied via post in April to Santander for an ASDA credit card. I've still not had an acknowledgement from them. I've resubmitted it online today!

Why on earth does anyone use post these days, so simple for a firm to ‘lose’ it or simplest claim not to have received... an email to the right address is it’s own evidence that any complaint has been made in time

To be fair, the Ombudsman accepts proof of posting as proof of delivery. Post also allows the inclusion of additional documentary evidence not possible with E-Mail..
