Can you sell EasyJet flights on eBay ?

Hello
I would be really grateful for some advice please . I have 3 flights booked for Spain in 3 weeks but unfortunately we can no longer travel so I was wondering if there is a way of selling them ? I know that the names would need to be changed which would incur costs. But just wondering about check ins and advanced passenger information - do I take all of their details and do it for them then email them the tickets ?

Many thanks in advance for any advice

    I've found this on ebay:
    Travel policy overview

The business of arranging and selling travel, holiday packages, and other travel services is complex and heavily regulated in many countries. We have special guidelines for listing travel and travel services on eBay, including air, train and sea travel; hotel, spa, and resort stays; holiday packages; and gift certificates and travel vouchers.
Make sure your listing follows these guidelines. If it doesn't, it may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.
    What are the guidelines?

    Aeroplane tickets

The sale of tickets for air travel is highly regulated in the United Kingdom by the Civil Aviation Authority - opens in new window or tab and in Ireland by the Commission for Aviation Regulation - opens in new window or tab.
    iconAllowed.svgAllowed
iocnRestricted.svgRestricted Listings for air travel are permitted from the following non-ATOL holders:
    • Airline ticketing agents (ticket providers). These are businesses that immediately issue a valid scheduled airline ticket in exchange for any payment. This exception will normally apply only to International Air Transport Association (IATA) licensed travel agents selling published fares
    • Agents authorised to act on behalf of ATOL holders, provided that they state their agency capacity and furnish buyers specified documents under law showing that they have accepted money on behalf of a particular ATOL holder

    iconNotAllowed.svgNot allowed
    • If you do not have an ATOL licence and do not fall into one of the above exceptions, you may not list aeroplane tickets or package holidays that include air travel on eBay
    • Listings may not offer a choice of airline

You also have to consider whether the change fee is more or less than a new ticket.

To change a name with 3 weeks is £55 per leg. I.E. £110 for the return flight.

How would they access the e tickets, check-in and add there passport details etc? All tickets are under the booker's account.

I know Pollycat has already provided the correct answer to the OP but it is worth noting that other people selling something on eBay doesn't mean they allow it. This is a misconception that can cause someone to lose their account.

It isn't only eBay, in the U.K. The sale of airline tickets is strictly regulated and OP is going to struggle to lawfully sell these. Looking at my selling groups on Facebook, there are several, people attempting to sell tickets. Half of those will be pulled by Facebook within a few hours and others will attract a lot of comments from people telling them they can't be sold and also that they are too expensive, not worth it etc.

  • hello missmini,
In addition to name change fee , there will be another charge for any increase in flight price in comparison to original booking.
