Npower energy bill

I recently received a energy bill in the post which stated I was in credit by £4.972.84.
When I rang them they said it was I mistake which I realised but is there any way having this figure down on paper I could hold them to it or no chance?

If the energy bill had mistakenly said you were £4972.84 in debit do you think they would/could hold you to it?
