Gap insurance

Gap insurance was sold to us on the same day we bought the car in 2017, my question is, the order date was 4 days before the delivery date so does this come under the waiting 2 days rule for selling the gap insurance ?

If the dealer gave you all the required information on the order date (i.e. that cover was not mandatory and that alternative providers were available), then yes, they've fulfilled their obligations.


If that's not the case, then you may have cause for complaint, as the 2 clear days rule was introduced by the Financial Conduct Authority in 2015.
