I normally send a small amount first to a new payee, then the rest once that payment has completed.
Got the extra security checks once (money laundering etc) and had to ring the bank to find out what had happened to the large amount, if I remember that was over £10k.

I've had this a couple of times if not more it is showing us leaving your account but never arrives when you call them it is held by the Fraud Department and you had to go through the rigmarole to get it released

So OP, I assume you are still waiting for your money to be transferred. Have you complained to the sending bank? What did it say?

I have to say this and maybe its just my suspicious mind, but the OP has been asking some very strange questions in other threads related to bank accounts.

Asking regards attempted fraud, collecting cards and pins from a bank because he can't receive it at home.

I've seen a few threads recently, from what *might* be fraudsters trying to seek experience in the modern world to commit fraud.

The fact this payment hasn't shown up, I'd not be surprised if it's being held by the bank, which you conveniently collected your card from because you didn't want anyone taking it (and a card that had no money on it, until you transferred it today)

Somethings a miss, it isn't adding up for me I'm afraid.
If you had collected your card why did you wait until a Sunday anyway to transfer?
I have a suspicion why but not willing to feed the trolls anymore.

    Have a wealthy week... OP

    Whats the new bank?
The high street ones should show up straight away.
If its a challenger online one it could be next working day.
Eg If I transfer cash into my Paragon bank after 2pm on Friday, it wont show up until sometime Monday.

Oh and when transfering money between accounts, you should always do a £1 tester first
